Brett J. Preston was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1987, he graduated with honors from Wake Forest University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology. He completed his postgraduate work at Wake Forest University School of Law, where he received his doctorate degree in law in 1991.
Since then, Mr. Preston has devoted his entire career to civil litigation focusing on workplace injury, products liability, and general negligence-based claims. From timbering and coal mining fatalities to chemical exposure to automobile accidents, Mr. Preston has litigated hundreds of claims and obtained tens of millions of dollars for his clients.
He is licensed to practice in the State of West Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar Association and is a board member of the West Virginia Association for Justice. Mr. Preston has been a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for over a decade.
Mr. Preston works primarily in the firm’s Charleston office. When he is away from work, he spends his time with his wife and three children. The family interests include horseback riding, tennis, piano, dance, swimming, exercise, and spending time together. The family is active in their church and in many community events.

Ben Salango is a partner/owner of Preston & Salango, PLLC. With over a decade of experience in areas such as medical and nursing home negligence, tractor-trailer accidents, employment litigation, and workplace injury, Mr. Salango is highly respected in the legal community. He has tried nearly 50 civil jury trials to verdict in West Virginia, and he has argued a number of cases in the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Salango has proudly achieved numerous million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Salango graduated from West Virginia University and West Virginia University College of Law. He is licensed to practice in West Virginia and Kentucky. He is a sustaining member of American Association for Justice, and a board member of West Virginia Association for Justice.
A native of Raleigh County, West Virginia, Mr. Salango frequently donates time and money to charities and worthy causes in Raleigh and Kanawha Counties. Mr. Salango lives in Charleston with his wife, Tera, and their two sons. He is active in the community and regularly coaches baseball and soccer. In addition to community service, Mr. Salango frequently represents indigent clients in important cases free of charge.

Dan R. Snuffer was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1999, he graduated from West Virginia University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in finance (summa cum laude). He then attended West Virginia University's College of Law, from which he graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2002. Immediately upon graduating from law school, he moved to Wheeling, West Virginia, where he served as a judicial law clerk with the Honorable Martin J. Gaughan in the First Judicial Circuit of West Virginia.
Practicing in Charleston, Mr. Snuffer has experience litigating a wide variety of cases involving claims of negligence, product liability, auto accidents, deliberate intent/workplace injuries. He vigorously represents the families of workers who have been seriously injured or killed by the wrongful acts and negligence of others. Mr. Snuffer is admitted to the West Virginia State Bar. He is a member of the West Virginia Association for Justice.
Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Snuffer is an outdoor enthusiast, with personal interests that include fishing, camping, and hiking. Mr. Snuffer also enjoys volunteering his time with the Upper Glade Creek Flat Top Lake Area Conservation Club.
